Ca(ClO4)2 + H2SO4 → CaSO4 + 2 HClO4

If concentrated (98%) sulfuric acid is used, one could prepare anhydrous perchloric acid, though this is very dangerous, since concentrated perchloric acid may explode in contact with organic substances.
